



In search of an effective medium of information sharing within the organization,
the idea of an in-house magazine was conceived. That was at a management
conference that held at Ogere Conference Center towards the end of 1996. Then in
1997, we launched a quarterly magazine called “Seven-Up Link”. The objective of
establishing the magazine is to have a channel to communicate the mission,
vision, corporate culture and the events of the organization as well
as provide a platform where the staff can exchange their views and get to know
each other more as members of one family.
It has helped to TIE the various regions together, instill the spirit of healthy competition in the house, and empower the numerous functions for corporate success. Beyond the urge to communicate work, the Link also passionately communicates fun. Within its pages are regulars such as topical cover stories; which highlights issues on the front burner, company news, talk back; that brings feedbacks and rejoinders from readers, photo news; which showcase the social diaries of the rank and file in the organization, and features; a basket of articles on personal effectiveness, spirituality, marriage, jokes, riddles, etc.
The link is also linking the organization with the larger society as is evidenced in the many issues that feature in it.

Yes, It is now a little above ten years since the flagship of the Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc Media, SEVEN-P LINK, i.e SBC Plc's in-house journal, hit the company's various offices nationwide. A dream birthed at the Company's Management Conference in 1996 has since blossomed into an astonishing much-sought-after reality that today, 10 year on Seven-Up Link bas become as icon, a tradition and an inseparable part of the culture of the Seven-Up family.
