Specific duties and responsibilities –
- Develop and implement appropriate preventive maintenance programme for all electrical systems (motors, panels, cables etc.)
- Liaise with Fleet Maintenance for repairs and overhaul of generators
- Approve action to be applied during daily planned maintenance period for electrical systems.
- Supervise requests for parts to carry out maintenance or repairs.
- Analyse bottlenecks or problems on electrical systems and sort them out to achieve rated capacity.
- Review reports on performance of electrical systems and correct any faults.
- Keep log/history of maintenance and repairs on electrical systems.
- Plan and implement annual shut down maintenance.
- Advice on any major investment in electrical systems.
